About Chartertalk Guide Service
The
Boat: The boat is a 621 Ranger powered by a 225 Mercury Optimax.
Ranger is a leader in technology and safety being the choice of
many professional anglers in bass, muskie and walleye fishing. They
have the highest resale value on the market and that makes them
a great investment. At 21' the 621 is a good boat for this area.
Not too big that it cannot be controlled in the fast moving waters
of the Detroit River and big enough to handle what Lake St. Clair
can throw at it.
I
chose the dual console for the added wind and wave protection to
family, friends and clients. The 621 is a good selection for the
serious angler or the person who wants to invest their money wisely.
Other
features on the Ranger are Lowrance X85 graph and a Minn Kota Maxxum
bowmount electric with 74# of thrust. Those 74# handle the Detroit
River's 4-7 mph current with no problem. The Lowrance X-85 is one
of the most sought after graphs in the fishing community.
